The Annual Conference

Our Conference will provide an important opportunity to explore how this approach - applying technology and building partnerships to solve transportation problems - holds significant promise as a part of our response to increased traffic, safety concerns, the time-sensitive demands of commercial vehicles, and the needs of tourists, commuters and our citizens.

Wisconsin Intelligent Transportation Alliance

The Wisconsin Intelligent Transportation Alliance was formed two years ago, by a coalition of academic experts, engineers, Wisconsin and US Department of Transportation staff, public safety officials, county highway staff and motor carriers.

This diverse group shares a common interest in the development, study and effective use of intelligent transportation solutions on Wisconsin's roads and highways and throughout our public transportation systems.

Panels will include:

  • County, state and federal transportation officials
  • Legislators
  • Members of the media
  • Leaders from industry and the private sector
  • Trade and professional group representatives

The program will feature:

  • A roundtable discussion on funding issues
  • A look at how ITS is working in Wisconsin today
  • A panel discussion about citizen involvement and participation in Wisconsin's SmartWays
